Q&A - Why are the center of my turnips dark?
Question:
Why are the center of my turnips dark?
Answer:
This is a boron deficiency. UT Extension Agent Celeste Scott says the lack of boron may not be because it is not present in the soil. Dry conditions or high pH may make it so the plant can not absorb the boron. A soil test will help determine the problem.
