Q&A – How do you kill morning glories?
Question:
How do you kill morning glories?
Answer:
Morning glory is a tough plant to kill because it has a large energy reserve in the roots. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says you can keep it pulled or weed-eat-ed down to the ground. It has built up a large carbohydrate reserve in the roots and will continue to live and send up new stems until that reserve is depleted. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper says you could try to use an herbicide. He recommends glyphosate or a broad-leaf weed killer.
