Q&A – My dogwoods and cherries aren’t blooming like they use to. What should I do?
Question:
For the past three years my dogwoods and cherry trees have bloomed less and less. Is there anything I can do to help them bloom? This past year was very disappointing.
Answer:
This may be because they are getting too much nitrogen fertilizer. This encourages leafy growth but not blooms. Also, check the bottom of the trunks for evidence of tree borers or weed eater damage.
