Q&A – This is what happened to my mimosa tree.
What is it?
Question:
This is what happened to my mimosa tree. What is it?
Answer:
This is slime flux. Certified Arborist Wes Hopper says there is a small wound everywhere you see the slime flux coming out of the tree. Each wound has become infected with bacteria. The flux has a bad smell because it is fermented. It can be treated with bleach and a lot of work. Wes talks about how to do it and warns that it might not be successful.
