Q&A - What should I use to fill my raised bed garden?
Question:
I am thinking of downsizing my vegetable garden this year. If I decide to make a raised bed garden, what should I use for soil? And where do I get the soil?
Answer:
Many places that sell mulch and dirt also sell a soil mix that can be used in a raised bed. The best sizing for a raised bed it about four feet wide. This allows the average adult to be able to work the bed at arm’s length. The bed should be deep enough so the plants have enough soil, so at least a foot deep.
