Powdery Mildew on Fall Zinnias: Guess What? DO NOTHING!
In the fall powdery mildew is common on zinnias. Powdery mildew thrives in moderate temperatures and high humidity, which is common in fall. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper explains the best thing to do is nothing. This is completely normal for this time of year. Just enjoy the flowers until the plants are killed by frost. Then dispose of the plants in the trash.
