How can I control or eliminate pepper flies and maggots in my garden?
Pepper flies and maggots are attracted to rotting fruit. UT Extension Horticulture Specialist Celeste Scott says the best way to get rid of them is to make sure you don’t have any overripe vegetables in your garden. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper says insecticides are often not effective because they can’t reach the insects. Also, practice crop rotation.
