How do I get rid of grasshoppers in my garden? I don’t want to hurt plants or pollinators.

Grasshoppers can quickly destroy a garden. Tennessee Plant Inspector Lisa Lawhead recommends spreading diatomaceous earth (DE) on the plant leaves in the garden. The DE will cause the grasshoppers to dehydrate and die. You could also plant a trap crop that is more appealing to grasshoppers than your regular plants.
