Why are my pepper plants producing only small bell peppers?

There are several reasons your plant could be producing only small peppers. We are just coming out of the heat of summer, and high temperatures stress the plants and cause fewer and smaller fruit. Other possible reasons are poor pollination and the variety grown naturally produces smaller fruit.
