Why are the lower leaves of my corn yellow spotted? Should I do something?

This is gray leaf spot. It is very common on corn later in the season. Retired UT Extension Agent Mike Dennison says it is nothing to be concerned about. It does not affect the ears. There is no need to treat with any chemicals.
