Why did my muscadines not produce last year?

There are a few reasons this might have happened. Muscadines fruit on new growth from one year old wood. If you severely prune your muscadine and remove all of last year’s growth, it will not fruit. Also, it may be a lack of pollination, or using an insecticide during pollination.
