Q&A - My Iris Rhizomes Have Turned To Mush
Question:
What has invaded my bearded iris bed? The rhizomes are mush, but they have no odor. I have dug out the rhizomes and treated them with a 10 to one bleach solution. Can I replant in the same bed, or do I need to remove and replace the soil?
Answer:
Chris sits down with his panel of experts to help a viewer solve the mystery of their melting bulbs. This could be caused by bacterial or fungal infection, being planted too deep or being over watered. Make sure not to plant your bulbs too deep underground and to dispose of any contaminated soil.
