Q&A - Modeling On Pumpkin Leafs
Question:
I have a number of pumpkin plants. One plant has light color mottling on the leaves near the veins. What is causing this?
Answer:
With the help of horticulturist Jason Reeves we learn how to spot the difference between the silver modeling of certain pumpkin leaves and harmful powdery mildew. In the case of powdery mildew consider thinning out the population of your garden, fungicide or reducing your use of nitrogen fertilizer. Sulfur is another means you can use but it requires caution and of course, none of this is needed if the modeling on your leaves is natural!
