Q&A – Why do my okra blooms
not open?
Question:
Why do my okra blooms not open?
Answer:
This is probably due to heat stress. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper says when the weather is hot and dry okra plants don’t produce. He says you can cut the plant back to about 12 inches and it will come back for a fall harvest.
