Common Warm Season Lawn Diseases

Lawns can get diseases that will create dead spots or other unsightly problems. UT Extension Agent Booker T. Leigh talks about the most common diseases on warm season grasses: brown patch, rust, fairy ring, and spring dead spot. These diseases are fungal, and many are a result of poor drainage or standing water both in summer and in winter. Booker talks about each one, what it looks like with pictures, what causes it, and how to treat it.
