Introduction to Rain Gardens
Rain gardens reduce runoff and allow rainwater to soak into your yard. UT Extension Agent Celeste Scott shows a rain garden at the UT Gardens in Jackson, Tennessee and talks about how it works. She talks about how to calculate how large a depression the garden should be and how to test for percolation. She also shows some of the plants that can tolerate immersion for a few days in the rain garden.
