Phenoxy Herbicides
Mike Dennison talks about 2,4-D and Dicamba, two common phenoxy herbicides. Both work by causing the plant to grow its self to death. They are effective on broad leaf plants. Because of this they are found in many herbicides for use on lawns. When using them it is important to follow the label directions. Both are volatile, meaning they can evaporate and move to plants you are not targeting. Because of this don’t apply these herbicides in high wind or when the air is still.
