Q&A - How can I get rid of Hackberry and honeysuckle growing in shrubs?
Question:
How can I get rid of Hackberry and honeysuckle growing in shrubs?
Answer:
Just cutting them off will probably not work. The plants have strong roots with lots of carbohydrates stored. They will regrow. Instead, cut them off at the surface level and put some Round-Up (glyphosate) on the stump. You can also use 2,4-D or dicamba herbicides. Those should kill the undesirable plants and leave the desired plants unaffected.
