Q&A - How do I control Squash Bugs
Question:
How do I control Squash Bugs?
Answer:
Squash bugs can be hard to control in the garden. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says she inspects her squash plants regularly and removes the eggs she finds. She also uses pyrethrin on any squash bugs that have hatched. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper recommends removing eggs with tape. He says when the squash bugs are nymphs you can use insecticidal soap. If they are any older, you will need to use a harder insecticide.
