Q&A - How do I get rid of ants in my house?

Question:
I have ants in my house. What is the best way to get rid of them? I don’t want to spray anything in the house if possible.

Answer:
You should not spray ants in the house because spraying in a house may cause the colony to break into several smaller colonies which then makes it harder to eliminate the ants. Instead, use baits labeled for inside use. If the ants are coming in from outside, use baits labeled for outside use, but put them outside.  Worker ants will take the baits back to the colony where it will kill the workers and possibly the queen. If the ants are coming in from outside, you can use a barrier spray or try to block them by calking and sealing cracks.
