Q&A - How to control clover in a lawn

Question:
How do I kill a small amount of clover in my fescue lawn without harming the grass itself?

Answer:
A selective herbicide like 2,4-D will kill broadleaf weeds - like clover - in the lawn. Clover is growing in places where there is poor soil fertility. Get a soil test to see if there are missing nutrients or incorrect pH for growing your grass. Fertilize and lime according to the soil test instructions.
