Q&A - What are these bugs on my clematis leaves?
Question:
I have small green bugs all over my clematis leaves. What are they?
Answer:
The bugs are aphids. Aphids suck plant sap which can weaken your plant. Aphids can multiply rapidly. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper recommends not using heavy insecticides on aphids. He recommends insecticidal soap, horticultural oils, or even knocking them off the plant with a jet of water from a hose.
