Q&A - What can I do about the webs in my trees?
Question:
Is there anything I can do about these large webs in my tree?
Answer:
These webs are fall webworms. Certified Arborist Wes Hopper says that if they are not creating a nuisance leave them alone. The webworms are part of nature and predatory insects and birds feed on them. Believe it or not, they also can help the tree by removing some of the weight from a tree to help prevent limb breakage especially on pecan trees.
