Q&A - When can I plant my Leyland Cypress?
Question:
I have recently bought a Leyland Cypress. Can I plant it now?
Answer:
Leyland Cypress trees can be planted anytime if the tree came in a pot. The ideal time is six weeks before the first frost. If the tree was bare root you cannot plant it in the summer. It will dry out and die because it has few roots. A bare root tree will need to be planted in the fall to allow it to establish roots before spring.
