Can ornamental trees pollinate fruit bearing varieties of that tree?
Most ornamental trees will not pollinate their fruit bearing counterparts. The major exception to this is the crabapple pollinates some apple trees. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond explains why this is the case.
