Do I need to sterilize the ground to get rid of rose rust?
Question:
Do I need to sterilize the ground to get rid of rose rust?
Answer:
Rose rust can get into the soil from leaves that fall. To avoid this, remove all the fallen leaves each year to remove fungal spores on them. Rose rust does not like hot dry weather so not watering the bed for awhile in the summer will kill the fungal spores.
