Q&A – How do I prune my Japanese maple? It was damaged by a late frost.

Question:
How do I prune my Japanese maple? It was damaged by a late frost.

Answer:
Certified Arborist Wes Hopper recommends giving the tree a light fertilizer to promote new leaf growth. Then prune off only the dead branches. It will eventually fill back in. When it does prune it to shape.
