Q&A – I put too much fertilizer on my plant. Can I save it?
Question:
I put too much fertilizer on my new plants. Is there anything I can do to save them?
Answer:
It is impossible to un-apply fertilizer from the soil. If the plant is not dead already you can try digging it up and moving it to a new area. Depending on what was in the fertilizer it can remain in the soil for only a few weeks up to many years. Trying to wash away the fertilizer may help but probably will only remove some of it.
