Q&A – I see tiny red bugs on stones around my flowerbeds.
What are they?
Question:
I see tiny red bugs on stones around my flowerbeds. What are they?
Answer:
These are clover mites. Mary Schmidt from Lichterman Nature Center says they are totally harmless and belong to the arachnid family. UT Extension Agent Chris Cooper says they suck sap from grass, but there is no need to use insecticides on them. If they are a concern, you can spray them off with a stream of water.
