Q&A – In summer my apple leaves get spotty and fall off. Then the tree reblooms in the fall. Why?
Question:
In summer my apple leaves get spotty and fall off. Then the tree reblooms in the fall. Why?
Answer:
Apples that are not regularly sprayed will often have this problem. Retired UT Extension Agent Mike Dennison says if he does not spray his trees, they do the same thing. The trees are using energy to make leaves instead of storing it up for next year’s fruit. He outlines the sprays needed to control diseases on apple trees.
