Q&A – My peonies have a powdery look with black spots. What do I do?
Question:
My peonies have a powdery look with black spots covering the leaves. Can you tell me what is causing this problem and what to use to get rid of the problem before they die?
Answer:
Horticultural Expert Dr. Lelia Kelly says this is a problem that started in the spring. To prevent it next year, spray the plant regularly with a fungicide when it leaves out next spring. There is not much you can do now in late summer. In winter, when the leaves fall off collect them and dispose of them.
