My weeping atlas cedar has white sap and stress cracks on the trunk. What can I do?
This is likely compressed wood. Certified Arborist Wes Hopper says this may have happened when the tree was covered with heavy ice in the winter. He does not think it is a disease. There is nothing to do except watch the tree.
