Q&A – What are these deformations on the bark of my apple tree?
Question:
Last year I bought a 4 in 1 apple tree. I noticed a weird deformation on the bark in multiple places. Do you know what it can be and if it can be treated?
Answer:
The small marks are lenticels which allow for the exchange of air to the inside of the plant. They are found on the bark of many woody plants.
