Q&A – What are these little worms in my home?
Question:
Last summer I noticed these little worms inside my sun room. The room is ground level built on a concrete slab. When I touch them, they curl up. They have a hard outer skin. When they die they have a strong smell. Why have I got them and how do I get rid of them?
Answer:
These are millipedes. They have moved into your home because of moisture there. Try to dry out the space and seal around the perimeter with caulk or a similar substance. Also you can put down a perimeter spray of bifenthrin. If they get inside just throw them back out for the birds.
