Q&A – What are these white things on my tomato roots?
Question:
What are these white things on my tomato roots?
Answer:
These are the stinkhorn fungus. They are not harming or even growing on the tomato roots. They just happen to be in the same area. The fungus grows on decaying organic matter in the soil. Eventually they will break through the surface with the fruiting body and then they will stink. There is no need to treat with chemicals. If you don’t want them, you can remove them by hand.
