Q&A – What can I do to get rid of four-o’clocks in my flower bed?

Question:
What can I do to get rid of four-o’clocks in my flower bed?

Answer:

Four-o’clocks are beautiful flowers, but they also have an extensive root system and are hard to get rid of. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond recommends carefully dabbing herbicide on the leaves of the plant. The herbicide will translocate to the roots and kill the plant. You may need several applications.
