Q&A – What herbs can be grown in the window sill?
Question:
What herbs can be grown year-round in doors on a window sill?
Answer:
You are only limited by the availability of light. Horticulture Expert Dr. Lelia Kelly says herbs need a lot of light which may be hard in a window sill. An unobstructed south or west facing window may provide enough light. You may need to supplement with bright artificial light. Basil, chives, parsley, oregano, and many others are all good options. If you don’t have enough light the plants will get leggy or have long stems. They are still use-able but just don’t look as good.
