Q&A – What is this on my tomato?
Question:
What is this on my tomato?
Answer:
This is blossom end rot. It is caused by the plant not being able to get the calcium it needs from the soil. This is most likely caused by the soil being too dry or the wrong pH when the fruit starts to grow. Using mulch will help even out soil moisture and a soil test will find out if you need to adjust soil pH.
