Q&A – Why are my thyme seeds not growing?
Question:
I planted thyme and lavender seeds three weeks ago. The lavender is starting to sprout but the thyme is not. I water them regularly and set them in the sun. Am I doing something wrong, why are my thyme seeds not growing?
Answer:
The seeds may be old or bad. It is possible the seeds were not scarified by keeping them in a cold place. If they were kept warm all winter they may not sprout. Also, there is the question of where were they planted and how were they watered.
