Why are my trees dying from the tips? It is all varieties.

This looks like anthracnose. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says you need to prune out affected areas or the problem may spread and kill the tree. She says you should prune several inches below the dark infected spot on the branch.
