Why did none of my new lavender plants bloom last year?

Answer:

Overfertilizing or planting in too much shade can keep lavender from blooming. Dale Skaggs, Director of Horticulture at Dixon Gallery and Gardens gives several other reasons the plants may not have bloomed.
