Q&A – Will aerating, liming, and using organic fertilizer
help with weed control in our yard?

Question:
We want to aerate our yard, then put down Lime & organic fertilizer. Will these things help for weed control? We really don't want to spray anything poison to kill our weeds, so we have a lot of weeds in our yard. Or what do you think?

Answer:
The best way to prevent lawn weeds is to have healthy, thick grass. These things: aerating, liming based on a soil test, and adding fertilizer will promote grass growth which will in turn reduce weeds.
