Q&A - How To Control Nutsedge in the Garden

Question:
What is the best way to control nutgrass in my vegetable garden?

Answer:
Dr. Kelly tells us the way it is. "Sedges have edges. Rushes are round. Grass has joints...when the cops are not around." This little rhyme helps gardeners tell the difference between the three varieties of ground cover. Using this rule, Nutsedge is certainly not a grass and can be controlled by manual removal or chemical herbicide. Chris and Dr. Lelia Kelly talk about the chemicals that can be used.
