Q&A - How do I protect my strawberries from birds?

Question:
How do I protect my strawberries from the birds? I put stakes with bird netting over my patch. It is not working well so I put taller stakes with another layer of netting. I have had silver tape tied on and added more. Still they are eating through the net. HELP!

Answer:
Netting is the best way to keep birds off strawberries. You can try an artificial owl or snake but birds are smart and will figure them out. You might try moving the snake and owl around for a longer effect.
