Interesting Houseplant Options

Houseplants are a great way to bring nature into the home. Jill Maybry, Horticulturist at Memphis Botanic Garden, talks about different houseplants and their care. One of the most popular and easy to care for houseplants is the sansevieria or snake plant. Jill shows several kinds including the whale fin sansevieria, which only has one leaf; and sansevieria that walk and grow on stilt-like roots. She also talks about plants with interesting leaves including oxalis, tradescantias, and begonias.
