Nuisance Wildlife: Geese

Retired UT Extension Agent, Mike Dennison, talks about geese and how to keep them away. Geese are considered a migratory bird species, so they cannot be killed outside of a hunting season. Besides for being annoying and leaving droppings, geese can damage plants. They pull up small plants by the roots. Mike gives some advice about how to try to keep geese away including modifying habitat, fences, netting, etc. Perhaps the most effective method is to have a dog that will chase them away.
