Planting Scaevola, Pentas and Vinca

Summer annuals provide season long color for the garden. This year University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond plants red, white and blue flowers with blue scaevola, red pentas and white vinca. She fertilizes the bed with a slow-release fertilizer that will feed the plants all season. She creates a checkerboard pattern with the plants, laying out and spacing each kind before planting.
