Q&A - One of my pistache trees has splitting bark. What should we do?
Question:
One of my pistache trees has splitting bark. What should we do?
Answer:
The tree looks stressed in the picture and has fewer leaves than it should. University of Memphis Director of Landscape Joellen Dimond says it may have been mechanically injured. Also, it is close to the street which is not the best growing condition for a tree. It may also be planted too far north to grow successfully.
