Q&A - How to keep worms out of my cabbage
Question:
I had a problem with something eating my cabbage last year. How can I control Them for this year?
Answer:
Most cabbage damage in the home garden is caused by one of two pests: the cabbage looper and the imported cabbage worm. The cabbage looper moves like an inchworm while the imported cabbage worm stays flat on the leaf. BT (Bacillus thuringiensis), which is organic, is effective at the control of the looper but not as good at controlling the imported cabbage worm. For that one you need heavier chemicals. Mike Dennison talks about what to use.
