How do I tell where the summer sun will be in my small yard?

Answer:
This is a hard question because we do not know the orientation of the space. Memphis Botanic Garden Horticulturalist Jill Maybry suggests observing where the sun is throughout the day, and where there are trees or buildings. For vegetables she says you need at least 6 hours of sun per day.
